Becky Bookworm Book Review: King's Man by Angus Donald

King's Man (The Outlaw Chronicles, #3)King's Man by Angus Donald

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If you ever felt your life was lacking tension, drama and action well the Outlaw chronicles following the many fictional historical adventures of Robin Hood and his band of warriors will supply it in limitless amounts. The beginning grips you with suspense and intrigue as you realise you're back in the land of England but you're not quite sure why Alan of Westbury is sneaking around with a decapitated horses head in the dark of night...but have no fear all will be revealed dear reader and on that note I'm saying nothing more except that this book I believe is filled with more plots, secrets and suprises than the last one which makes it immediately a worthy sequel to the outlaws adventures in the Holy Land during the crusades. There is plenty of adventure of to foreign lands, battles to fight and lives to save as well as clever escapes. I especially loved the ending that provides a little bit of love and happiness and shows that one particular female character is more than just a pretty face and I'm going to let you reader guess who that could be. But like nearly all his previous books there are agendas left unfulfilled, promises not kept and secrets hinted at that await discovery and all delightfully lead on to the next book - Warlord!
